Features

Everything Wattle Bot does.

Every module, in one bot. Turn on the ones your server needs, set them up in the dashboard, and leave the rest off.

01

Keep it safe

Moderation tools for your team, filters that work around the clock, and a record of what happened.

Moderation

Every action your moderators take gets a reason and a case number, so anyone on the team can see what happened and why.

  • Warnings, timeouts, kicks and bans, including bans that lift by themselves after a set time.
  • A case history for each member, with private notes only your moderators can see.
  • Automatic steps after repeat warnings, for example a timeout at three and a ban at five.
  • Clear messages in bulk, lock a channel or set slowmode in one command.
  • An optional direct message to the member with the reason and your appeal link.
Set it up in the dashboard
Jordan warns Alex with /warn. The case gets a number, and the reply says what happens next.

Auto-mod

Turn on the filters you want and choose what happens when one is triggered. Trusted roles and channels can skip them.

  • Filters for banned words, invite links, other links, spam, repeated messages, mass mentions, capitals, emoji and zalgo text.
  • A different response for each filter: delete the message, warn, time out, kick or ban.
  • Allowed links, so the sites your community uses every day get through.
  • Raid protection that slows down a wave of joins and holds back brand-new accounts.
Set it up in the dashboard
Alex posts an invite link. Auto-mod removes it and warns Alex before a moderator has to step in.

Logging

When someone asks what happened, the answer is already in your log channel.

  • Deleted and edited messages, with the original text.
  • Joins and leaves, nickname and role changes, bans, kicks and timeouts.
  • Channel, role and server changes, voice activity and invites.
  • Each type of event in its own channel if you like, with channels and roles you choose left out.
Set it up in the dashboard
A deleted message and a new member, recorded in the log channel.

02

Grow your community

Welcome people, reward the members who show up, and let everyone pick the roles that suit them.

Welcome and goodbye

First impressions count. Write the welcome in your own words and preview it before anyone sees it.

  • A welcome message in a channel, a direct message, or both, with plain text or an embed.
  • A welcome card image with the member's name and avatar.
  • Roles given on join, with an optional delay, and different roles for bots.
  • A goodbye message when someone leaves.
  • Placeholders like {user}, {server} and {membercount} that fill themselves in.
Set it up in the dashboard
Priya joins and is greeted with a welcome card and a pointer to the roles channel.

Levels and XP

Reward the people who keep your server going. You decide how fast XP comes in and what each level unlocks.

  • XP for chatting, with a cooldown so spamming doesn't pay. Optional XP for time in voice.
  • Level-up messages in a set channel, where the member chatted, or by direct message.
  • Role rewards at the levels you choose, kept or swapped as members climb.
  • Rank cards with /rank and a leaderboard in Discord and in the dashboard.
  • Channels and roles that earn no XP, and roles that earn more.
Set it up in the dashboard
/leaderboard shows the most active members and their levels.

Role menus

Build a role menu in the dashboard, post it in any channel, and members sort themselves out.

  • Buttons, dropdown menus or classic reaction roles.
  • Modes for every situation: pick any, pick one, add only (for verification) or remove only.
  • A limit on how many roles someone can pick, and roles needed to use a menu.
  • Roles given automatically when people join, and restored if they leave and come back.
Set it up in the dashboard
A member taps a button to pick up a role, and only they see the confirmation.

Custom commands

Answer the questions your members ask every day, in your server's own voice.

  • Slash commands with a text or embed reply, visible to everyone or just the person who used it.
  • Commands that give or take roles, limited to the roles and channels you choose.
  • Auto-responses to words or phrases, as a reply or a normal message.
  • Cooldowns, so a command can't be spammed.
Set it up in the dashboard
/rules is a custom command, written once in the dashboard.

Embeds and announcements

Rules, news and reminders that look the part, posted now or on a schedule.

  • An embed builder with a live preview: title, text, colour, fields, images and footer.
  • Post to any channel as Wattle Bot, from the dashboard or with /announce.
  • Scheduled messages, once or on repeat: daily, weekly or every few hours.
  • An optional role ping with each announcement.
Set it up in the dashboard
A scheduled announcement, posted every Friday with a role ping.

Social alerts

Let your community know the moment something new is out.

  • Alerts for Twitch streams, YouTube uploads, Reddit posts and RSS feeds.
  • Your own message for each alert, with an optional role ping.
  • Each alert in the channel you choose.
  • Twitch is checked every 2 minutes, YouTube every 5, and Reddit and RSS feeds every 10.
Set it up in the dashboard
A streamer goes live, and Wattle Bot posts it with a ping for the alerts role.

03

Fun and engagement

Giveaways, polls, a starboard and more, to keep the conversation going.

Giveaways

Start a giveaway in seconds and let Wattle Bot handle the entries and the draw.

  • One-click entry with a button.
  • Several winners, drawn at random when the time is up.
  • Requirements, such as a role or a minimum level.
  • End early or reroll a winner if someone doesn't claim their prize.
Set it up in the dashboard
Members enter with one button. Winners are drawn when the time is up.

Polls

Settle it with a vote. Results update as people answer.

  • Up to ten options, answered with buttons.
  • A time limit, or close the poll by hand.
  • Anonymous voting, or show who voted for what.
Set it up in the dashboard
A poll with buttons. Results update as people vote.

Starboard

When a message gets enough stars, it's copied to the starboard for everyone to see.

  • Pick the emoji and how many reactions a message needs.
  • Leave out channels you don't want on the board.
  • Stop people starring their own messages.
Set it up in the dashboard
Nine stars later, Mia's message is saved on the starboard.

Suggestions

Give every idea a fair hearing and a clear answer.

  • /suggest posts an idea in your suggestions channel with up and down votes.
  • A thread under each suggestion for discussion.
  • Staff approve or decline with a reason, and the author hears back.
  • Anonymous suggestions, if you want them.
Set it up in the dashboard
An idea, voted on by members and approved by staff with a reason.

Birthdays

A small thing that makes people feel at home. Birthdays are day and month only, never the year.

  • /birthday set saves a day and month, in the member's own time zone.
  • A birthday message in the channel you choose.
  • A birthday role for the day.
Set it up in the dashboard
On Sam's birthday, Wattle Bot posts a message and gives a birthday role for the day.

Reminders

Never forget the thing someone mentioned in chat. Works in servers and, with Wattle Bot added to your account, anywhere.

  • /remind with a time like 30m, 2h or 3d.
  • Delivered where you set it, or by direct message.
  • List and delete your reminders at any time.
/remind sets a reminder. Two hours later, it arrives.

04

Voice

Music, text to speech and voice channels that make themselves.

Music

Queue up songs for the whole channel and keep control with DJ roles.

  • Play, pause, skip, loop, shuffle, seek and set the volume.
  • A shared queue you can view, reorder and tidy up.
  • Vote to skip, so one person can't take over.
  • DJ roles that control the music, and channels it's allowed in.
  • 24/7 mode, to keep music in one channel around the clock.
  • Songs from SoundCloud, Vimeo and ReverbNation, and audio files posted in Discord.
Set it up in the dashboard
/play starts the music, and the buttons control it for everyone in the channel.

Text to speech

For members who can't use a microphone, or just prefer to type. Wattle Bot reads their messages to the voice channel.

  • Read a text channel aloud in the voice channel Wattle Bot is in.
  • A choice of voices and speeds, and each member can pick their own.
  • Names read before each message, or only when the speaker changes.
  • Links and emoji skipped, and words replaced so names are said right.
  • Only messages from people in the voice channel, if you prefer.
  • Four English voices, from the UK and the US, run on our own servers.
Set it up in the dashboard
Alex types in the text-to-speech channel and Wattle Bot reads it aloud in voice.

Temporary voice channels

No more empty voice channels cluttering the list. People make their own and it tidies itself away.

  • Join the hub and Wattle Bot makes a channel for you and moves you in.
  • Rename it, set a member limit, lock it or hand it to someone else.
  • Deleted as soon as everyone leaves.
Set it up in the dashboard
Mia joins the hub, and Wattle Bot makes a room and moves Mia in. It's removed when everyone leaves.

05

Server tools

Support tickets and the everyday commands every server ends up needing.

Tickets

Members get help in private, and your staff keep track of every conversation.

  • Ticket panels with a button, and a list of topics to choose from.
  • A private channel for each ticket, visible to the member and your staff roles.
  • Claim, add people, and close with a reason.
  • A transcript saved to your transcripts channel when a ticket closes.
Set it up in the dashboard
One button opens a private ticket channel for the member and your staff.
